Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club aims to:

• Provide the highest possible standard of care in a secure, caring and supportive environment, where children feel comfortable and happy before starting the school day
• Enable children to eat breakfast before school in a pleasant and relaxed environment.
• Help children to be more aware of healthier foods to have for breakfast
• Employ caring, qualified supervisory staff.

The Breakfast Club will provide a:

• Healthy breakfast including cereal, toast, and drink.
• Choice of activity after breakfast such as table top games, drawing, reading quizzes, and outside play.
• Calm atmosphere where children can relax ready for the day ahead

Our Menu

• Selection of cereal with semi-skimmed milk
• Toasted white and wholemeal bread and Crumpets with low fat spreads and jams
• Yogurt
• Fresh orange juice, milk or water

Getting to Class

• Year R and Year 1—At 8.50 am the children will be escorted to their classrooms ready to start the school day.
• Year 2 to Year 6 — At 8.40 am the children will be escorted to the school playground where they can start the day with the rest of the class.

Opening Times

The breakfast club will be open from 8 am to 8.50 am

Dropping Off

Parents are welcome to drop their children off any time between 8 am and 8.20 am. But not before 8 am. Please bring your child to the main school entrance.

Parents will need to park around the perimeter of the school on the single yellow lines. There is no restriction until 8.15.  Please DO NOT use the School Car Park as staff will be arriving at this time.

How much is it?

Breakfast Club is £3.00 per whole or part session. 

Cash and Cheques are accepted as payment. Please make cheques payable to Huish Primary School

Childcare vouchers can also be accepted.  Please speak to the school office to arrange this.

How do I book?

You can book via ParentPay or use the Breakfast Club booking form, ticking the sessions that you want your child to attend. This can be either completed termly or on a week by week basis.

Please note that sessions MUST be booked and paid for one week in advance.
