Our Vision

International teaching and learning is embedded within our curriculum. The International School Award (ISA) was achieved in 2016 and reaccredited in 2019. To achieve this award, Huish teachers must continue to deliver a varied range of cross-curricular activities designed to broaden children’s knowledge of the wider world and the varied cultures within it.

These activities must include collaborative learning with partner international schools and include some language learning. Huish currently work with three international schools from China, Poland and Spain. It is hoped in the future these links will continue to strengthen and new schools to become involved.

By repeating activities or introducing new activities each academic year, this will help to ensure all pupils will be involved in international learning activities as they progress through the school.
Our vision for the future is to prepare Huish pupils to become global citizens of the future through a secure, varied and exciting international curriculum.
